Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. Anyway, this is my take on an image from a Bulgarian children’s book written in the 1960s.


The second image is from the actual book. I don’t know much about it but I liked the illustrations. It translates to something like “Solar Grain” or “Sun Seed.” This is the website, in Russian, where I discovered it. More great illustrations can be found here.

A stop-motion animated short film based on the story was also made.
